Artist Statement
“My intention is for my work is to be like small thoughts that travel far; informed by memory, ephemera and readymade objects that I notice and the relationship between them. I’m interested in how paintings function as an embodied image, containing more than meets the eye, demanding an existential response from the individual.
“Intimacy beckons and calls us into a private realm - warm immediacy feels very much the shared creation of your paintings and related to notions of a creative realm where conscious noticing and unconscious arrival tumble together.” - Phil King Artist, Writer and Mentor
Tracey is an alumna of Turps Banana Painting School correspondence course.
